More about the Creative Justice Fellowship:
An affiliate of the Diversity in Arts Leadership Internship program of Americans for the Arts, ACI’s Creative Justice Fellowship matches students from backgrounds underrepresented in arts leadership with arts and culture host organizations and mentors from the sector for a semester-long experience from January to April 2024.
Fellows gain hands-on experience in the areas of arts management, event production, community outreach, and more while working with Boston non-profit organizations. The program includes:
Work placement at an arts nonprofit in Boston
$3,240 pre-tax work stipend (15 hours p/week or 180 hrs at $18 p/hr)
36 hrs of paid professional dev workshops, facilitated discussions, and site visits
Individual mentor pairing
As we look to support interns on their journey to a thriving career in arts management and the pursuit of cultural equity in the arts, Arts Connect International (ACI) recognizes that injustices against particular groups have prevented their full participation in the economic, social, and cultural traditions of our society.
Through the Creative Justice Fellowship, we strive to create more equitable outcomes in the arts management field by opening doors for people who reflect the true diversity of our country. We aim to cultivate the next generation of leaders who will create sustainable change through the transformative power of the arts.
